Cancel on the web or in the YouTube app

  1. Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships (or in the app: profile picture → Purchases and memberships).
  2. Select Manage membership.
  3. Select Deactivate or Cancel, then confirm.

You may be offered a pause instead — choose cancel if you want to stop paying.

If you pay through Apple (iPhone, iPad)

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If you don’t see a Cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled and will end on the date shown.

What happens after you cancel

Ad-free viewing, downloads and background play stop when the membership ends.
