How to cancel Microsoft 365
You can cancel Microsoft 365 Personal or Family from your Microsoft account, or turn off recurring billing so it simply ends on its expiry date.
Cancel in your Microsoft account
- Sign in at account.microsoft.com/services.
- Find Microsoft 365 and select Manage.
- Select Cancel subscription (or Turn off recurring billing) and follow the prompts.
What happens after you cancel
When it ends, Office apps switch to read-only and your OneDrive storage returns to the free amount. Files over the free limit can’t be added to until you free up space.
Tips
- On Microsoft 365 Family, cancelling removes access for everyone you shared it with.
