How to cancel ChatGPT Plus
You can cancel ChatGPT Plus from the settings in ChatGPT. You keep Plus features until the end of your current billing period.
Cancel on chatgpt.com
- Sign in at chatgpt.com in a web browser.
- Open your profile menu, then Settings.
- Open the account or subscription section and select Manage.
- Select Cancel plan and confirm.
If you subscribed in the iPhone app
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If you don’t see a Cancel button, the subscription is already cancelled and will end on the date shown.
If you subscribed in the Android app
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
What happens after you cancel
Your chat history stays in your account; you move back to the free plan.
Tips
- A subscription bought in the mobile app can only be cancelled through Apple or Google Play, not on the website.
